This Privacy Policy explains what information DiscGearHQ ("we", "us") collects when you visit https://discgearhq.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and in plain English on purpose.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address — only if you subscribe to our newsletter or request a free download.
- Contact messages — name, email and the message you send through our contact form or by email.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics data — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive. GA4 collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and referring site. IP addresses are anonymized. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Affiliate click data — when you click a "Check Price" link we record that a click happened (page and retailer), not who you are.

2. How we use information
- To send you the newsletter or download you asked for.
- To reply to your messages.
- To understand which content is useful and improve the site.
- To measure which recommendations lead to purchases so we can keep the site running.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with anyone except the email service provider that sends our newsletter on our behalf.
3. Affiliate links and third-party sites
Our site contains affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon.com. When you click one, the retailer may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. Once you leave our site, the retailer's privacy policy applies. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
4. Cookies and advertising
We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics) and, if ads are displayed, for advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
5. Your rights
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Access or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@discgearhq.com.
- California residents (CCPA) have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information.
- EU/UK visitors (GDPR) have the right to access, rectify, erase and port their data, and to object to processing. Our legal basis for analytics is legitimate interest; for email, it is your consent.
6. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Data retention and security
Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. We use reputable providers with industry-standard security, but no internet transmission is 100% secure.

We'll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter.
